Project Overview
The Absolute Towers, commonly known as the “Marilyn Monroe” Towers, are among Canada’s most recognizable residential buildings. Rising 50 and 56 storeys above Mississauga’s skyline, the towers are known for their distinctive twisting form, with each floor rotating around the building core to create a unique architectural profile.
Recognized as the Best Tall Building in the Americas in 2012 by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, the towers formed part of the larger Absolute City Centre development. Krcmar Surveyors provided professional surveying and condominium development services throughout multiple stages of the project lifecycle, supporting the development team from initial planning through condominium registration.

Why Krcmar Was Needed
Large condominium developments require specialized surveying expertise throughout every stage of the development process. Beyond traditional construction surveying, projects of this scale require support for planning approvals, disclosure documentation, condominium registration, occupancy requirements, and ongoing legal compliance.
Krcmar worked alongside the development team to provide the survey information, plans, and registration services necessary to guide the project from concept through completion. Because the Absolute Towers formed part of a multi-phased condominium development, careful drafting and documentation were required to properly reflect the relationship between the different condominium components.
Unique Project Challenges
The Absolute Towers are internationally recognized for their distinctive curved design. While the shape of the buildings did not significantly affect the condominium plans themselves, it did make interior measurement slightly more complex due to the curved nature of the building.
The more significant challenge was the multi-phased nature of the development. Certain parts of one condominium were located within the building of another condominium. This required careful consideration during the drafting of the condominium documents to ensure that the plans accurately reflected the relationship between the different condominium components.
The project required Krcmar to support the development through multiple stages, including planning, sales documentation, construction, occupancy, condominium registration, and post-registration services. This continuity helped ensure that the survey, legal, construction, and registration requirements were properly supported as the project progressed.
